Meandering the maze

Perpignan is a gorgeous city.  The old part of the town is mysterious, closed, a fortress.  It is tricky to orient yourself, for you cannot peer between homes for a bearing.  The streets are no wider than one car width and up is the only place you'll see the sky. The streets are arranged radially, as is the case in many cities and towns of France.
